It can be difficult to make sense of and find meaning in our life experiences. Therapy provides a safe, non-judgmental space to explore your thoughts and feelings to better understand and find solutions to life situations. Struggles with relationships, life stress, anxiety, depression, and self-judgment of not being ‘good enough’ can hold you back from living authentically, joyfully, and to your full potential. My goal as a therapist is to help you feel safe and open to deeper self-exploration and growth.
Therapy is not “one size fits all.” I use a combination of approaches to personally suit the individual or couple that I am working with. I have a humanistic base, but also utilize cognitive-behavioral, developmental, somatic, and neurobiological approaches. I also believe in mindfulness and meditative practices. I have done several years of my own therapeutic work so I understand how helpful, and life-changing therapy can be. As a therapist, I work flexibly to meet my client’s needs while assisting them in exploring alternative points of view and identifying and adjusting problematic patterns.
I truly care about each of my clients and the concerns they bring to therapy. I provide a safe environment in which to explore the deeper feelings and to confront the issues that are causing distress. People say I am present, genuine, accepting, insightful, playful, and real.
I work with heterosexual, gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender individuals (age 14+) and couples.
