Sandy Waundless, MA, LLP
Sandy is a highly seasoned clinician who works with children, adolescents and adults, treating depression, anxiety, panic disorder, OCD, bipolar disorder, ADD/ADHD, Trauma and PTSD, Autism Spectrum Disorders, marital and family issues, and patients working through grief and loss.
Sandy’s extensive experience includes teaching and supervising in hospital and clinic settings. She is trained in EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), play therapy, and working with those seeking alternatives to medication.
She also offers biofeedback and neurofeedback services at Positive Self Center. Bio- and neurofeedback are highly researched behavioral health techniques that harness the mind-body connection to help clients learn to recognize their physical reactions to triggers such as stress or strong emotions. With this awareness, clients are able to change these responses, as well as changing unhelpful thinking and behavioral patterns. The techniques involve minimally-intrusive instruments that measure brainwaves, heart function, breathing, muscle activity, and skin temperature. With practice, clients are able to modify these physiological responses without the use of equipment.
Sandy is accepting new clients on Thursdays at Positive Self Center.
